Hay Rides, Petting Zoo, Pumpkins and Football

Saturday, we went with the Keenoy Family to South Farms. It is a Mizzou research farm. They had an open house. There were tons of activities for kids, animals to see and Cohan loved every minute of it!

The second we got there, Cohan saw the pumpkin tent. He was off...

He wanted to find the perfect pumpkin.

Cohan liked the animals and all the golf carts everywhere. He pretended to drive Natalie and Caleb around.

There was a hay maze and corn maze. We attempted the hay maze. Natalie and Caleb tried to show him the way through. He liked staying at the dead end.

Cohan loves tractors. He was excited to take the tractor ride to the petting zoo.

There were trained border collies that herded sheep and ducks. It was so neat to see these dogs in action! They were amazing.

He left a very happy boy with the perfect pumpkin.

That night, after a LONG nap, we headed to the Hickey's house to watch the Mizzou football game with friends. Cohan loved hanging with all the kids. He and Ila were inseparable!!

Henry's Fire Truck Birthday

Henry Matz turned two on Monday. Yesterday, we headed to his birthday party at the Fire Station. All the kids got to tour the station, watch a fireman put on all his gear, and get on the trucks. Cohan loved it!

I thought it was so cool that they showed the little ones how they are still the same person with all the gear on. They told the kids (obviously Cohan was too young to get it) how if there was a fire, they shouldn't be scared of them.

The kids all watched thinking the firefighter was so cool. Cohan got a little freaked out with by the fire fighter with his gear and hat and oxygen mask.

Touring the trucks...

Happy Birthday, Henry! We love you!

Noreen, Frank and Frankie Visit!

Scott, Cohan and I had been looking forward to Noreen, Frank and Frankie coming for a long time. Noreen and Frank went to Western Illinois. This past weekend, Mizzou played Western. They came for the game, and we loved having them. Cohan LOVED spending time with Baby Frankie and we loved having them all.

On Friday, we stayed in, cooked dinner, had bath time and let the boys play.

They loved being by one another. Frankie is such a happy baby and Cohan liked having a baby around. He kept saying, "baby."

The next day, before the game (and before Cohan went to Nanny and Papa H's for the night), Frankie and Cohan played together.

Mizzou beat Western (69-0), we both had babysitters for the night and enjoyed a night out without kids. We had such an awesome weekend.

Now we just need to plan a trip to Chicago to visit them.

Random

It seems as though this past month, Cohan has started talking a lot. He says new words everyday. Lately, he wants to talk on the phone. We were on the way home for the day and I was talking to my mom, and Cohan started calling her name. He talked with her for over 10 minutes. At a stop light, I was able to get a few pictures. It was adorable. He would say yes and no to her questions, make animal sounds for her and more. He is getting so big.

Football season has started. Scott and Cohan have been very busy watching all the games. I think that it is hilarious how Cohan will sit and watch with his dad. When Cohan hears the crowd cheer, he claps too. Even after Scott got up from the table, Cohan continued to sit and watch. He made his dad super proud.

With the start of football season, Cohan has learned some new tricks. I went to pick up Cohan from the Ramsey's house and Alison and the girls had taught him something new. They yell, "Hut 1, Hut 2, Hut 3, Hike!" and then Cohan yells, "GO!" and runs. He gets down in the position and everything. Pretty hilarious. You might have to go to the bottom of the page and pause the music to hear the video. Enjoy.

Scott and Cohan have started to build "forts" with pillows. Scott started to bury Cohan in his fort. Here are some pictures and videos. Cohan has started to try and do it himself now.

Cohan loves to rough house. He thinks it is hilarious to play around and be thrown around. I was twisting him around and making him dizzy. He thinks it is so funny to try and walk after almost falling.
