What summer is all about...

What I remember about summer growing up was being at the pool with my cousins.  Every.  Single.  Day.  I loved it.  I loved it all.  Cohan and Ireland are really lucky to have cousins so close in age like they do.  Sofia isn't a cousin, but she is with the Watson kids every day at the pool and we consider her family.  I love these six kids together...
This past Sunday, we had the cousins and Sofia over for a Sunday-Funday.  We bought the kids a double slip and slide and Mark and Beth brought their three man slip and slide.  The kids had a blast and the adults enjoyed some cocktails and conversations.  :)

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

Tuesday morning four of my girlfriends and myself headed to Nashville for a no husbands and no kids trip.  I couldn't have been more excited.  The unique thing about our friendship?  All five of our husbands have been friends since grade school.  Three of us girls aren't even from Columbia, but, lucky for us, we love our husband's friends' wives and we've all become friends.
When we arrived, Bryan (Cohan's godfather) had champagne waiting in both hotel rooms.
We had so much fun having nice dinners, drinking too much, enjoying each other's company, sleeping in and relaxing.  Kenley, Kim, Danielle, Camie and I had a great time!
We had to show these quite a bit to let people know we were happily married.  :)
Our second day, we did a Pedal Tavern tour.  So much fun and we stopped at three different bars while biking and drinking through downtown.

The next morning we headed to a spa... all morning.  It was awesome.
Then we enjoyed their rooftop pool and drinks.
Thanks ladies for such a fun trip.  Can't wait until next year!!

While I was away, Nanny and PaPa H took the kids to the lake...  They also had an awesome time!!!
Thanks Nanny and Papa H for watching them!!!

Our 4th of July

This past Saturday, my cousin, Kathleen, got married in St. Louis.  Scott and I were excited to spend a kid free night in St. Louis on the 4th of July at a hotel in Ball Park Village.  We got to St. Louis before the wedding and met up with cousins, aunts and uncles for cocktails on the roof of our hotel.
Of course it was your typical Irish wedding,
a break between ceremony and reception for cocktails downtown....
and a really fun reception!
The kids stayed home with Uncle Pooh and Aunt Meagan.  They spent time at the park and then went to Uncle Mark and Aunt Beth's 4th of July party.  Thanks Pooh and Meagan for keeping them.  They haven't stopped talking about how much fun they had!!
We can't wait to pay back the favor when Baby Quinn arrives!

When we got home, it was a sprinkler in the yard kind of afternoon!
What a fun weekend!!!
