Cutting Down the Christmas Tree

Every year, we go out and cut down our own Christmas tree for our house.  This has been a tradition even before we had kids.  Now, the entire Watson family goes together.  This past Saturday, we made it for the annual tree cutting.

These sweet cousins make it more fun!

It was a cold start, but warmed up as we hunted for our perfect tree.
The hay ride to the farm is always so fun for the kids and a little frightening for the adults.
Cohan is the one that found our tree this year.  It is a gorgeous 10 foot tree that is perfect.  He was VERY proud of himself.
Now we are feeling ready for Christmas!

Halloween Fun

Just like lots of holidays, Fall has lots of traditions.  Carving pumpkins and having friends and family over for Trick-or-Treating are just a few.  This year was no different.

We went to a Trunk-or-Treat at Ireland's school...
We stopped by John and Becky's house in our old neighborhood to visit and trick-or-treat...
We celebrated Papa H's 70th birthday!
Cousin Andrew taught Cohan how to play chess.  Cohan joined chess club at school.
We carved some great pumpkins the day before Halloween.
The day of Halloween, we had lots of friends and family over to celebrate.
