A Turtle-ly Awesome 4 Year Old Party

Cohan was SO EXCITED for his birthday.  He had his whole day planned out.  First, he wanted to get bagels from B & B (his favorite breakfast bagel place), then he wanted to ride the carousel at the mall, take a nap and go to his party.  When he woke up, his presents were waiting for him.
We agreed to let him open one gift before he ate breakfast...
Ireland did not understand why she wasn't getting to open presents.  Poor girl.
The bagel did not disappoint.
After breakfast, Cohan was really excited to open the rest of his presents from us.  He had asked for several things, but, the one he really wanted was a "fancy camera like mommy."  Scott and I did some research and found a perfect camera for him and it's his favorite color.  He loves it!!!  We spent a lot of time playing with new toys.
Then we headed to the mall to ride the carousel before naps.
Before Cohan's party, Aunt Meagan and Uncle Pooh came over to bring Cohan his presents.
He asked them for dinosaurs and a dinosaur informational book.  It was a hit!!
He was ready for his party!!!  When Cohan got to pick out his shirt for the party, Ireland insisted she have one too.  She wanted to wear a shirt just like him!
Meagan found someone she knew to make these adorable cupcakes.  I showed her a picture of an idea I had and these exceeded my expectations.  I was so impressed!  Each cupcake had a ninja turtle on it that was edible and made of sugar paper.  They were a huge hit.  Thanks Meagan!
I didn't get too creative with this party.  My mom is usually my big party helper.  We were supposed to have a big snow storm with ice, so she stayed home and was really sad to miss the party.  Ninja turtles eat pizza, so we had pizza, water, juice and cupcakes.  The most creative thing was the turtle water bottles.  Thanks Jack and Meagan for helping me with them!  They turned out really cute.
We were ready for the party!
We rented out Flipz, the place where Cohan has his gymnastics class.  There is a huge ball pit, several trampolines, bars, mats, beams, ropes and more.  He had 17 friends and their parents.  It was the most fun I've had at a kid's party.  We will be returning again!!!
Even the adults had fun!
After an hour of playing, we headed to the upstairs for pizza and cupcakes.
After the party, we came back to our house to open gifts.
The girls were a little bored with the boys toys...
Happy 4th Birthday Cohan!  Thank you so much to everyone for making it special for him.
These last four years have flown by.  Cohan, you've made our life so much better.  You have grown from a little baby, into an amazing big brother.  We love you more than we could start to explain.  Your curiosity, thoughtfulness, bubbly personality make those around you smile.  Thank you for being the most loving little man.  We love you.
