Two Weeks Have Passed...

The day after I returned from Seattle, it was beautiful outside.  

We headed to the park for some morning play time!

These two lately have been so sweet to one another!

It's been so nice and we have played outside a lot!  

This past weekend was Scott and I's 6 year anniversary.  We spent time together and enjoyed every minute of it!  We played games Friday night, did dinner, bowling and drinks Saturday night, and then did ANOTHER date night Sunday night and went to see a play.  Thank you so much Jane and Hiram for watching the kids both nights!  We missed the kids, but LOVED our time together.  Cohan and Ireland had a great time too!  

Cohan has recently found great interest in reading "big books like Mommy."  I think it is hilarious.  He takes this book places too.  He has always loved reading, but now he has taken it up a notch.  

Monday, Cohan was so excited that Mack came with me to pick him up from school.  We got to take Mack to Flipz with us and these two were cracking me up!!

And Ireland has been busy with Mrs. Alie this week!  Ireland is also very excited about a new baby that Mrs. Alie is watching a couple days a week.  Sofia and Ireland were so excited to be back together!!  

Today, Ireland and I had a picnic in the back yard while Cohan was at t-ball.   

We are so ready for this nice weather to stick around!

Sisters in Seattle

There is something awesome about having three siblings.  We live in three different states, but when we all get together, it's like no time has passed.  Since having kids and moving away, I've seen my siblings in a whole new light.  They have turned into the best friends I could ask for and they are the best aunts and uncle to our babies.    

That being said, there is something special about having a sister (and of course the best big brother I could ever ask for).  I am lucky enough to have two of the best ones around. My sisters are so different, but so alike in so many ways.  

Abby recently moved to Seattle.  That was much too far for my liking.  This is the longest I've ever gone without seeing her.  Even though we talk all the time, Skype and Facetime as much as possible, it isn't the same.  At least with Tyler and Clara, they are only a drive way.  Abby is far.  Really far. 

It was around Christmas that I really started missing her.  It was the realization she wasn't going to be with us.  Scott knew it.  He ordered plane tickets for me.  I felt better; at least I had a count down... 

   So last Wednesday I left while the kids were napping, got on a plane and saw my sister!!!  I was so excited!!  It was late when I arrived, but we headed to a brewery right by her house for beer and pizza and catching up.  It was perfect. 

The next morning, we headed to a Starbucks and then into the city for breakfast.  It was a cool little local place that just so happened to be totally decked out in Cardinals and St. Louis gear.  Apparently, they switch their decor every three months to another city.  It just so happened that this rotation was St. Louis.   

After a cool drive, we headed to the Seattle Space Needle.  This city is huge and absolutely beautiful! 

We then headed the the Public Market.  I could have spent days there!!

We stopped at a little restaurant at the market for a drink and appetizers before we did some downtown power shopping like only sisters can do.  

That night we had an awesome seafood dinner with Abby's boyfriend, Dujuan, on the water...

Yeah.. I did that, but only for a picture.

The next day,  my sister and I took it east.  We did manicures, pedicures, a yummy Thai lunch, a movie, shopping, a walk and ended the night with awesome sushi at a cool little place that knew Dujuan and Abby.

Abby and Dujuan, thank you so much for such a fun trip!  I loved Seattle, but love you both more.  I can't wait to come back with Scott and the kids.  

Now, the count down is on until July when I get to see her again...

Even though I was away, the kids had an awesome two days with Nanny and Papa H.  Here are a few of the pictures Nanny sent me.  Thank you so much for helping.  I know it's always easier to have a good time when you know your kids are in good hands and having fun (and being spoiled!!).
