New Floors

This past week our house was under construction.  About 5 years ago, we put down a wood laminate.  We hated it and finally bucked up and had hardwood installed this week.  I am in love and so happy it's over!  All that's left is to put our white trim back up.

This is the last hallway that still needs painted white...

A Dance Recital, Birthday Party and Painted Nails

Friday night the Watson Family got together to celebrate Avery's very first dance recital.  Ireland was beyond excited and now wants to be a ballerina just like Avery.  Avery was absolutely adorable.   We went to dinner after the recital and the kids played and had a great time.  We are so proud of you, Avery!
Saturday, we celebrated Sofia's 2nd Birthday with a Sofia the First Birthday Party.  It was adorable and Betsy did an awesome job with all the little details.  I can't even believe she is 2 already!!
What party isn't complete without a Frozen dance party?
That afternoon, I headed out to start planning Ireland's Cinderella Birthday Party she wants.  Even though it is going to be REALLY small compared to all the other parties we've had, I still want to make it special.  She won't remember, so we decided to scale it down.  Cohan was a HUGE help at the party store.
Ireland has been asking to paint her nails.  I was totally against it.  But she's so cute and we gave in.  It was a mess and so adorable and she loved every minute of it.  How did I think that I only wanted boys?!  I can't even imagine life without this little girly girl.

Easter Weekend with Bucko and Grandma Chris

Cohan's school didn't have school for Good Friday. We asked my dad and step mom if they'd come up a little early to watch him. He was beyond excited. They spent the morning at Bass Pro and then went to lunch together. Cohan loved the one on one time with them.
Ireland also got one on one time that day with Nanny.  After her trip to the hospital, Nanny thought a day of snuggling was just what she needed and we couldn't have agreed more.
That night, we sat on the back porch, made homemade pizzas, caught up and relaxed.  After dinner, we went to the hotel they were staying so the kids could swim.  They LOVED it!!

The next morning, the girls went shopping (new summer clothes!!!) while the men stayed home to do some home repairs.  Jack and Meagan were getting their new wood floors installed, so Jack was here helping and Meagan went with us.  Cohan helped Bucko for one part, but stayed with the girls for the day.
Please don't look too closely at the concrete floors in the rest of the pictures.  Hardwood was being installed the following week.  .  :)
Ireland insisted on pigtails!!
That night, we grilled out, played outside and enjoyed the gorgeous weather before heading back again to the hotel to swim.  The kids were so excited about swimming.  They both had no fear and this makes me so excited for summer swimming and the pool and lake!!
The next morning was Easter.  The kids woke up looking for their baskets (because our Easter bunny hides them!).
Again, ignore the nasty floors, but the kids loved emptying their baskets and eating chocolate before breakfast!! They each got a new stamp set that kept them busy.
Bucko and Grandma Chris brought more baskets that the Easter bunny dropped off at their hotel...
Before brunch, we finally dyed our Easter eggs.  Better late than never!!
Preparing brunch.
After a delicious brunch, the Easter bunny must have hidden eggs...
What a fun weekend!  Happy (belated) Easter, from our family to yours!!
