Cohan's school didn't have school for Good Friday. We asked my dad and step mom if they'd come up a little early to watch him. He was beyond excited. They spent the morning at Bass Pro and then went to lunch together. Cohan loved the one on one time with them.
Ireland also got one on one time that day with Nanny. After her trip to the hospital, Nanny thought a day of snuggling was just what she needed and we couldn't have agreed more.
That night, we sat on the back porch, made homemade pizzas, caught up and relaxed. After dinner, we went to the hotel they were staying so the kids could swim. They LOVED it!!
The next morning, the girls went shopping (new summer clothes!!!) while the men stayed home to do some home repairs. Jack and Meagan were getting their new wood floors installed, so Jack was here helping and Meagan went with us. Cohan helped Bucko for one part, but stayed with the girls for the day.
Please don't look too closely at the concrete floors in the rest of the pictures. Hardwood was being installed the following week. . :)
Ireland insisted on pigtails!!
That night, we grilled out, played outside and enjoyed the gorgeous weather before heading back again to the hotel to swim. The kids were so excited about swimming. They both had no fear and this makes me so excited for summer swimming and the pool and lake!!
The next morning was Easter. The kids woke up looking for their baskets (because our Easter bunny hides them!).
Again, ignore the nasty floors, but the kids loved emptying their baskets and eating chocolate before breakfast!! They each got a new stamp set that kept them busy.
Bucko and Grandma Chris brought more baskets that the Easter bunny dropped off at their hotel...
Before brunch, we finally dyed our Easter eggs. Better late than never!!
Preparing brunch.
After a delicious brunch, the Easter bunny must have hidden eggs...
What a fun weekend! Happy (belated) Easter, from our family to yours!!
