Snow and the Flu

The flu hit our house.  Poor Ireland had it from Friday all the way until Tuesday.  Then, she was kind enough to pass it to Scott.  This past Monday, we had off school for President's Day and got snow.  The kids were beyond excited to play, at least for a little bit.
Then we did a lot of this...
Tuesday, she and I stayed home.  We played with LOTS pf princesses...
So glad everyone is healthy and ready to celebrate Cohan turning 5 next weekend!!!

Sock Hop

Last year was Cohan and Ireland's first year to go my my school's annual Sock Hop.  They had a blast.  This year was no different.  I know I am a little biased, but dang they are adorable!!  Last year we borrowed a skirt, but this year, our friend's daughter made Ireland one.  She was beyond excited!
Cohan found the same little girl, Ryhn, he danced with last year.
What a difference a year makes...

This year, Ireland wanted to be her dance partner.
She was quite the social butterfly!
The next morning we left for a day at the lake.  Scott had his annual work banquet so we made a weekend of it.  Jack and Meagan were kind enough to offer to watch our kids while we went.  Cohan had a play date so he and the guys came down later.  Ireland, Meagan and I spent the morning shopping.  Then, once Scott, Cohan and Uncle Pooh got there, the kids were on the deck.  It was beautiful outside!!
It was a really fun weekend.
Hurry up summer!!

First Snow Day of the Year

Last night, as we were watching the Super Bowl, our school district called a snow day for today!!  The roads were pretty icy last night and there was a little snow, but today was perfect.  So, we made the most of our "snow" day.  There was a little over a dusting and the kids were ready to play!!!
Back to work tomorrow for a quick four day week and a fun weekend!!

Cinderella at The Fox

This weekend we got to celebrate Nanny's birthday in St. Louis.  She took all the Watson girls to see Cinderella at The Fox Theater and enjoy a night in a hotel. After a nice lunch, we headed to the hotel to change and get ready for the play.  The girls were ready!!!
They were both so good!  Ireland got a little restless at the end, but loved every minute.  In the end, she was blowing kisses and waving like a crazy girl in the hopes that the Prince or Cinderella would see her.  She told me they did.  :)
Nanny loves seeing Broadway plays.
I was excited Ireland got to share this experience with her.
We went back to the hotel and the girls swam with Nanny!!
After showers, Nanny had princess bags with matching pajamas, sweatshirts, slippers, comfy pants and lots of other princess gear.  They were super excited!!
After a wonderful breakfast, we headed home today.
While we were having fun, Scott put Cohan to work.
They also had lots of fun with the boys of the Watson family!!
What a fun weekend!!  Thanks Nanny!!
