Mizzou Kind of Weekend

Last weekend Scott and I went to a COLD Mizzou football game.  It was the last home game of the season and the first game we were actually able to make it to.  We had such a blast, great seats (thanks Kathleen!), so much fun with friends before the game and enjoyed a kid free night (thanks Nanny and Papa H!!).
Sunday night, we took the kids to the Mizzou girl's basketball game.  The kids always love these and this time was no different.  Cohan loves the popcorn and Ireland loves to cheer (she even insisted on bringing her pompoms to this game.
We love taking advantage of this great college town!

Veteran's Day & Grandparent's Breakfast

Traditions at New Haven are very big deal.  Every year, the school has a huge Veteran's Day Assembly.  The past couple years, they've incorporated Grandparent's Breakfast in to this morning.  Cohan was lucky to have Nanny and Papa H be able to join him for Grandparent's Breakfast before the Veteran's Day assembly.  Papa H had to go to work, but Nanny and Scott were able to stay and watch the assembly.  Cohan (and the whole school) did a great job honoring the Veterans and singing.
The man on the right is a WWII Vet who come every year from the nursing home across the street.
HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!!!

Cohan's Citizenship Award

At New Haven, there are monthly awards assemblies to honor kids that do a great job.  Teachers pick different kids from their class to receive awards for different reasons.  Last Tuesday, Cohan received the Outstanding Citizenship Award for his class.   His teacher, Mrs.  Maddox, said that he is kind to everyone in his class and always follows directions the FIRST time in class.
We are so proud of him!!

Watson Family Pictures and Birthday Dinner

This past Sunday (I AM CAUGHT UP BLOGGING!!!!), we went to Scott's parents house for family pictures.  They turned out so cute!

After pictures, we celebrated Scott, Jack, Hiram and Mark's birthdays.
I am so very thankful for these four men.  They are amazing brothers, dads, husbands and people.  I look at this picture and just smile.  I am very lucky to be a Watson and so thankful our children have these men to look up to.

Pumpkin Carving and Halloween!!!

Carving pumpkins is one of our fall traditions.  We let the kids pick their design and we try our best to execute.  This year, Cohan wanted Batman and Ireland wanted a princess crown.  Cohan was a great helper.  Ireland was a good boss.
Looking up designs...
Lost focus...
Final products...
This year for Halloween, the whole Watson crew came over.  Both of Scott's brothers, their kids, spouses, Nanny and Papa H and even Aunt Molly and Andrew.  It was so fun to let all the cousin trick-or-treat together in our new neighborhood.

Quinn's First Halloween!!!!
I tried to get a picture with her, but my family all wanted in...
Nanny and Papa H with all six grand kids.

Cohan was BumbleBee the Transformer and Ireland was Doc McStuffins this year.
Let the trick-or-treating begin!!!!
I don't know what we will do next year when Quinn starts walking.
This year, her stroller doubled as a cooler for us all!
We all had such a blast.  Then, the cousins had a sleepover and Uncle Mark and Aunt Beth stayed too. We stayed up playing Cards Against Humanity and drinking.  So much fun!  Now Quinn needs to get bigger and sleep through the night so it can be one big sleep over next year!!
