One thing Scott and I promised to each other before having kids is that we would still make time for our friends and doing things WITHOUT kids. We love our kids, but also love time with each other. We have stuck to it and love the nights we get where we are among friends and family.
We went on a Culinary Tour of downtown Columbia one night with Scott's parents, his brothers and their wives and friends. A great time was had by all and lots of us weren't feeling so hot at work the next day. :)
I am so lucky to have these three in my life. My mother-in-law is there for us whenever we need her and I am lucky enough to call my two sister-in-laws truly amazing friends.
Scott and his group of friends have known each other since grade school. These boys are still just as close and have a great time together. The even better thing about their friendship, is I love all the wives. Out of about 15 guys, only three have wives that are originally from Columbia. It has been nice to have such a great group of girls here and now we've been friends for almost 10 years that we've all been with our husbands. Each year, we have a Christmas Party (on top of our monthly dinners and lots of other get togethers) with this fun group. This year, we hosted!
Lots of fun was had by all (maybe too much fun??)!
We are looking forward to Christmas break and a couple more adult only nights out!! :)
