Christmas Eve & Christmas Morning

Something we LOVE is getting Christmas cards from our friends and family.  This year we realized we needed to make another card holder.  Several didn't fit!
Christmas Eve is one of my favorite parts of Christmas.  It is calm, I cook, we go to church as a family, come home and enjoy the excitement for the coming day.

Hot ham and cheese sandwiches is a Davlin Family tradition.  Once a year MeMo would make these and the whole family would look forward to them.  A couple years ago, my MeMo shared the recipe.  Now all of my cousins and family, even though we can't be together, send pictures of our ham and cheese sandwiches to each other.
Last year, our kids were very sad when it was Toots' last day.  This year, he was taking a bubble bath and left them a note...
Call it a Christmas miracle, but both kids got dressed and ready and were excited for church.  We started a new church about a year ago, and all four of us love it.
After church, Nanny and Papa H came over to have Christmas Eve dinner with us!  We had a great time and we were so happy they could join us.
It is our tradition that the kids open a Christmas Eve box.  It always has pajamas, a new Christmas movie, popcorn and hot chocolate.  This year there was something else...
a table tennis set.  The kids loved it, but we still have some practicing to do.
Before bed, Cohan and Ireland put cookies and milk out for Santa.  Ireland was already in bed before this picture.  She kept thinking she heard Santa and didn't want him to see her still awake.
Christmas morning, both kids slept in.  It.  Was.  Awesome.  Cohan was up first, but waited about a half hour very patiently for Ireland to wake up.
Then it was go time...
They loved the sleds... (now hurry up snow!)
Then putting toys together began...
After they calmed down from the Santa gifts, it was time to exchange gifts with each other...
The rest of the morning was spent playing with new toys and relaxing and enjoying each other.
I hope everyone had just as an amazing day!!!
