Random Pictures from My Phone

Ireland got her first "real" bath.  She is a little too big now for the little bathtub we were using. She liked it and loved seeing Cohan's toys all around her.

I loved getting pictures from Alison of the kids.  Here is Ireland and her BFF, Sofia, and then Ireland the day she decided she wanted to start sitting up on her own.
This is how we found Cohan sleeping the other night...
My sister-in-law, Meagan, made this to show me how similar Cohan and Ireland look.  Here is both of them at 6 months old.
My sister, Abby, made this to show how similar the Schmidt side looks.  It is Ireland (top left), my little sister Clara (top right), Cohan (bottom left) and my dad (bottom right).  They all have the same shape eyes.
This was Cohan's "Election Day Outfit."
We met Papa H for lunch the other weekend.  Cohan loves him!
Now that Ireland is sitting up on her own, the two kids interact so much more.
WE LOVE IT!!!
There have been a few mornings the last couple weeks that this is what we wake up to in our beds...

Columbia's Holiday Parade

We were excited to head to the Holiday Parade in downtown Columbia last Sunday.  It was just what we needed to get more into the spirit of the holidays.  Cohan's buddies, Harrison and Henry, joined us.
Construction was going on across the street, so Cohan liked this spot!

Ireland liked the bands
Henry wasn't too sure about the clown

Busy Week = Relaxing Weekend

Last week was crazy busy.  Parent teacher conferences take a lot of time to prepare for as a teacher and then even more time to meet with each family.  I was not home until after 8:00 Wednesday and Thursday nights.  I love the time I get to meet with my students families, but hate missing time with my own.
She wants to do everything her brother does.
On days that our sitter, Alison, knows that I have to work late, she always sends me pictures of the kids.  I love getting them!

After a long week, I was thankful to have Friday off to spend some quality time with my babies.  We started with heading to the doctor's office for a flu shot.  There is a large fish tank in the waiting room that Cohan loves.  He pulled Ireland's stroller over to it "to show her" his favorite fish.
After flu shots we headed out to visit our cousins.  Cohan was beyond excited to see Avery, Mack and Lincoln.  Mack has been very sick and in the hospital, so this made this visit even more special.  Cohan had been praying for him each night.  I love watching these babies play together.

Cohan loves the lake.  He loves boat rides, ducks, playing with the toys there, the special snacks he gets to eat and more.  He had been asking to go for a long time, so we decided we didn't have anything to do, so we headed down Saturday morning (only after some special snuggles with Riggs).

We decided to do a little shopping for Christmas and Aunt Meagan wanted to try the Baby Bjorn...

We had to head back Sunday morning to make sure we got a nap before the Holiday Parade!!

Quick Trip to the River

On Saturday morning, Scott and Cohan ran an errand together.  They came home telling me we were going to the river to watch for trains.  I did not even know there was a train track around here!  Apparently, Cohan had heard a train and wanted to find it.  Scott told him there were tracks down by the river.  That was all that Cohan needed to hear.
He wanted to go...
so of course, after breakfast we were on the road to the river...
Pure excitement.

Even though it was a quick spontaneous trip that last less than a half hour, Cohan hasn't stopped talking about it.  He wanted to go back again on Sunday.
