Memorial Day Parade

Scott had to run to work for a little bit first thing Monday when we got home from the lake. There was a Memorial Day Parade in downtown Columbia. Cohan and I waited for Erin and her son, Maddoch, to get to our house so we could go. We met up with Mark, Beth, Avery and Macklin. Even though it was hot, Cohan loved spending time with his cousins and his friend.

After the parade, we headed to Boone Tavern for some lunch and drinks! The kids loved watching each other and enjoying time together. They were all so good, and the adults enjoyed time together too.

I had to take a picture of the floor before we left. This just goes with Scott's theory that we have to leave larger tips when we take Cohan out to eat!

This was a spontaneous activity and I had a great morning with them!!

Only at the Lake...

Cohan, Scott and I went to the lake from Friday to Sunday. We had an awesome time. I couldn't think of a better way to kick off the summer. We had good shopping, great food, and a fun night out. Here are some of my favorites that only happen at the lake...

Only at the lake do I get to do bubble inside with Uncle Pooh.

One of Cohan's favorite things about summer/spring has been bubbles. We brought one of his bubble makers. He loved it!!! Cohan ate his applesauce pouch and caught the bubbles.

Only at the lake to do I hide under benches when playing with dogs.

This weekend there were 3 dogs at the lake with us. Memphis, Riggs and Harley. Cohan loves each of them and they loved him. He also loved this pink ball. As the dogs would come towards him on the deck, I think he thought they were going to take his ball! He would hide under the

bench and giggle.

Only at the lake do I get to see the water from the deck.

Cohan really enjoyed walking around the top and bottom deck looking at the boats, wave runners, and playing in the water.

Only at the lake do I get to come to lots of new toys from Nanny.

Cohan walked in and Nanny had an entire box of toys that were new to him. They were a hit. He LOVED the Kawasaki bike!!

Only at the lake is it ok to eat Cheetos for breakfast with Uncle Pooh.

As we were getting ready to go shopping, I came out to see Cohan sharing Jack's breakfast. Classic Jack breakfast = Cheetos and Dr. Pepper. Cohan only got the chips, but he was loving them.

Only at the lake do I get to play in my PJs with toys and dogs!

Cohan woke up and immediately went right for the new bike. He also loves the play with Jack and Meagan's dog Harley. Cohan walks around saying Har-ey all the time.

Only at the lake do I get to spend quality time with Nanny and Papa H.

Thanks for another awesome weekend and helping us create great lake memories for Cohan!!!

Dinner with Friends

One thing that I love about this sort of weather is eating outside. We went to dinner at the Matz's house. They are amazing cooks. Their two sons, Harrison and Henry are hilarious. Cohan enjoyed playing outside with them, eating outside together and playing with their toys. Everything they did, Cohan wanted to do. I would say these are three good looking boys.

As we were getting ready to eat, we all talked about how well behaved they were. No fights over toys, no crying, just the sounds of laughing and splashing in the water table. Cohan loved eating with his two friends.

We look forward to many more of these summer nights.

Cooper's Landing

Last weekend we went to Cooper's Landing with Matt and Betsy. It is a little place on the river. They have live music, good food and you don't even feel like you're in Columbia. We went for a little while and Cohan loved looking at the water and dancing. We will have to go back when it's warmer.

Circus

We took Cohan to his first Circus that came into town. He clapped, laughed and even got a little weirded out by some of the acts. We went with the Ramsey's. Makenna and Cohan both got souvenirs and peanuts. Cohan enjoyed cotton candy too. Here are some of our favorite pictures.
