Cohan TRANSFORMS into a 5 Year Old

We still can't even believe it. Our baby, our first born, our only son is 5.  He has turned in to such a cool kid.  He loves his family, is a Mommy's boy (that isn't bad!), loves Transformers and Ninja Turtles, loves play fighting with Daddy, is a HUGE rule follower, is deathly afraid of bugs (my fault), is quite protective of his little sister and makes us happy every single day.

Cohan had been asking EVERY DAY how many more days until he turned 5.  He woke me up at 5:00 am to ask if it was HIS day yet.  We held him off until about 7:30.  Ireland was just as excited to give him presents...

We woke up to LOTS of snow on his birthday... and it was STILL snowing.
We had to come inside after shoveling to start on the Lego's set the neighbors brought him.
He also LOVED getting phone calls from family.
This year, Cohan wanted a Transformer Birthday party.  We tried to talk him in to a long weekend away/quick family vacation, but he was dead set on another Flipz Birthday party.  He invited his cousins and his entire class.
Cohan wanted a Transformer shirt with his name.  Obviously Ireland needed one too...
Even though there was lots of snow, everyone made it to his party and fun was had by all!!

Ireland the Dare Devil

These four are best buddies at school.  Blake, Cohan, Jacoby and Barrett.

Cousin Love
We came home after to open presents and wind down a little.
I feel like birthdays make me reminiscent about how big my kids are getting, how much we have grown as a family, and how much bigger my heart has been filled, expanded and softened because I am a mom.  I really do feel like the luckiest person to be able to be your mom, Cohan.  You make everyday special with your bursting personality and kind heart.  Thank you for being YOU.

Now, slow down... you are growing too fast.  XXOO
