This year was our 5th annual Schmidtfest. It's one week that we set aside a year to be together. Whoever can make it does, and others are missed. This year, since Abby is getting married in October, we did a scaled down trip and spent a week in Branson at Table Rock Lake. Even though it wasn't the beach, it was so much fun to be together and find new activities that we got to enjoy together. We also loved that it wasn't such a long drive. :)
Ireland LOVED being with Baby Rylan!
We had lots of fun at the pool and playground.
We spent some time on the Landing and near the lake.
Monday, we spent the entire day at Silver Dollar City. This was our third time and we still loved it.
We spent an entire day on Bucko's boat on the lake fishing and swimming and having lunch. Cohan was the only one who caught a fish.
One of the favorite activities was the Dixie Stampede. It's something the kids weren't too sure about, but we all went and holy cow was it amazing. No silverware, good food and one heck of an entertaining show.
Another activity that we did was by the kid's request. They wanted to do Big Cedar's Top of the Rock tour again. It was amazing the first time, so we all did it together. It didn't disappoint this time either!
Cohan and Ireland loved the go karts and seeing a huge farriswheel that used to be on the Navy Pier.
On the way home, we stopped in Springfield, Missouri where Scott showed us where he went to college and a HUGE Bass Pro Shop.
What a fun week together! Thanks, Bucko and Ramma Ris for a great time.
