Bold statement... Perfect.
There is so much all the time that is not perfect. But this past weekend was one of the best we have had in a LONG time. Perfect is so different for us these days. Perfect is no accidents for a potty training boy (check), perfect is a baby that sleeps through the night (check), perfect is no major meltdowns (check), perfect is enjoying cocktails with others (check) and perfect is hearing our kids laugh and have fun (check, check). We had lots of alone time as a family of four and lots of time with my family.
Friday night, Scott and I had a night out. It was our five year anniversary and we enjoyed it. Scott's parents were nice enough to watch our kids, feed them dinner and get them both to bed. That was the best anniversary gift ever! We had a nice dinner and then some drinks afterwards. Perfect.
Saturday, we got up early, packed the kids and got on the road to St. Louis. Aunt Meagan had told us about the St. Louis Museum of Transportation. She knew it was a place that Cohan would love. She was right. We rode a train, walked inside trains, looked at old and different trains and more. It was awesome. We could have spent a couple more hours there...
After this, we headed to lunch, just the four of us. Cohan went potty for the first time in a public place. Remember... our perfect is so different these days! Then, we got in the car and headed to Edwardsville for my step-sister's wedding reception. After some time playing, it was time to get spiffed up for the party. Cohan was ready to dance. And he did just that all night long!
I know it's sideways... but still so funny to watch him dance. This didn't stop. All night.

Sunday morning Cohan woke up and went swimming in Bucko and Grandma Chris's bath tub.
After breakfast and goodbyes we headed out. We spent the day shopping around St. Louis. We had no where to be and no agenda. It was... you guessed it. Perfect. We ended up at the West County Mall. Cohan made a bear at Build a Bear. It was the cutest thing ever.

After he picked out an outfit, named it (Pete the Cat, the Bear) and got it's birth certificate, Pete was ready to leave.
After lunch and ice cream we headed home. Both kids slept the entire way.
I used the word perfect 11 times (well, now 12. Actually, 13 including the title).
Pretty sure I loved this weekend.
