Each year, we do Schmidtfest. This year, for the second year in a row, we went to Gulf Shores. The kids had a blast. They were so awesome in the car, the whole time we were there and the way home.
Ireland got "beach ready" the day before we left.
She was very particular about the nail colors she wanted.
We started our trip on Friday afternoon. The kids were so excited to get started.
Nanny sent presents with the kids. Each kiddo got a movie and an activity.
Great way to keep them busy!!
Friday night we found a great hotel and place to stop for dinner.
The next day, we were on the rode again...
Before we knew it, we saw our purple house.
Our view was amazing.
Bucko was dressed and ready for a good time...
Everyone was ready to go play on the beach as soon as we got settled in.
That same night, Cohan had a blast jumping into the pool in all his clothes.
He loved it. I just love seeing them smile on vacations and doing things that normally we would never let them do.
The next morning, this boy was anxious to get to the beach and play.
The pool was one of everyone's favorite parts of the trip.
This little miss didn't disappoint. She was full of sass the whole vacation.
The nights on the beach were fun.
The kids loved looking for crabs and the adults had fun too. :)
I LOVED the time I got to spend with my siblings.
I also love seeing them as such sweet aunts and uncles to my kiddos.
One morning, we spent time at the local zoo.
We weren't expecting much, but it was actually pretty awesome.
The adults had an awesome time too.
Lots of day drinking, night drinking and lots and lots of laughs.
Watching these cousins play together warmed my heart.
One of our favorite places to go is the Hangout. This year, the kids loved jumping on these huge trampolines. Cohan was scared at first and asked to get off. Then, seeing Ireland laughing so hard and screaming with joy, Cohan asked if he could try again.
Needless to say, they both had a great time.
The foam pit this year was a hot again...
My favorite day of vacation by far was the day Bucko rented a boat. He found a double-decker pontoon with slides that go right into the ocean. It rained most of the time, but that made it all the better. We laughed and laughed and laughed and these are the things we are going to remember forever.
Each night a different family was responsible for making dinner.
Ireland loved helping Abby make pizza one night.

Bucko enjoyed his days on the beach too.
The weather was gorgeous and we spent lots of time outside.

On our last night there, a huge beautiful storm rolled in. It was so fun to watch.
Our drive home was easy and fun. It took us about 13 hours, but we did it all in one day. Stopped for lunch and stopped for dinner. We were happy to be home.
Thank you so much Bucko and Grandma Chris for an awesome vacation. We had a great time and cherish the memories you're making with our kids.
