Cohan's School Award

Cohan is a rule follower to a fault.  He is kind to others and his teachers have always loved him.  In kindergarten, he struggled a bit with anxiety and tears at least once a week.  Beulah has been AMAZING for him.  It's a big school compared to New Haven, not everyone knows him and he's new like everyone else.  This has been one of the best moves for both of us.  We are beyond proud of the growth he is making this year.

At Beulah, each month there are Citizenship Assemblies.  Each award is given to one student in each class.  This was the second award of the year given.  The cool thing about these awards?  They are chosen by classmates.  Every kiddos gets a vote.  Cohan's classmates chose him!  It was a surprise to him, but as soon as he saw Nanny, Papa H and Mommy, he knew he was getting an award.

His teacher had the nicest things to say about him.  Mrs. Smith said she didn't think there was a mean bone in his body.  She told how he challenges himself and asks for tougher problems to make his brain smarter.  He was super shy being up there in front of everyone, but my heart was swelling with pride.  Scott was traveling for work, so it was so kind of Nanny and Papa H to come listen to the awesome reasons Cohan received this award.
We are so proud of you, Cohan!

Springfield Weekend and Wedding Dresses

Ireland and I went home last weekend to Springfield.  Abby was flying in from Seattle and we were super excited to help her wedding dress shop.  Friday when we arrived, Ireland and I got to babysit Rylan for a little while.  We were in heaven and stole lots of sweet baby snuggles.
After trying on a few bridesmaid dresses, we went for frozen yogurt.
These two are besties...
That next morning, Ireland and I met a couple friends for breakfast while my mom and Abby went to pick out cakes.  After that, we headed to start trying on wedding dresses.  Ireland was beyond excited about trying on flower girl dresses!  Once Abby started trying on, Ireland realized that the boutique had dresses for her American Girl Doll.  She was so excited and of course we had her doll, Rose, with us.
My sister is gorgeous inside and out.  She looked amazing in every dress she tried on.
Abby tried on so many and had a captive audience watching.
Finally, after lots of dresses, she said YES to a dress.  It's gorgeous and just what she wanted.  We found one that was very similar for Ireland.  I am so excited for my baby sister to marry her best friend!  She is going to be a gorgeous bride.
