Cohan is a rule follower to a fault. He is kind to others and his teachers have always loved him. In kindergarten, he struggled a bit with anxiety and tears at least once a week. Beulah has been AMAZING for him. It's a big school compared to New Haven, not everyone knows him and he's new like everyone else. This has been one of the best moves for both of us. We are beyond proud of the growth he is making this year.
At Beulah, each month there are Citizenship Assemblies. Each award is given to one student in each class. This was the second award of the year given. The cool thing about these awards? They are chosen by classmates. Every kiddos gets a vote. Cohan's classmates chose him! It was a surprise to him, but as soon as he saw Nanny, Papa H and Mommy, he knew he was getting an award.
His teacher had the nicest things to say about him. Mrs. Smith said she didn't think there was a mean bone in his body. She told how he challenges himself and asks for tougher problems to make his brain smarter. He was super shy being up there in front of everyone, but my heart was swelling with pride. Scott was traveling for work, so it was so kind of Nanny and Papa H to come listen to the awesome reasons Cohan received this award.
We are so proud of you, Cohan!
