Playing Hookie

Today we played hookie.

Alison's daughter and Alison were sick, so we stayed home.  It was Daddy Day Care this morning and I came home at lunch for the "afternoon shift."  It felt so weird to be home form work when I wasn't sick and the kids weren't sick.  We loved it!!  There was lots of playing and snuggling.

It was 'sunny' and 50 degrees here today.  The kids and I took a long walk.  I was pretty sore from starting back up with my trainer, so thought this would help.  It was nice to be outside, but we are so ready for it to get warm and enjoy our summer pool pass we received  from GramMo for Christmas!!!
Wearing our Irish gear for the Notre Dame game!!
For the football game, we decided to make it a homemade pizza night.  Our favorite!
Cohan loves to make his own.  He ate half of it tonight!

Another reason I was excited to be home today with the kids was because Cohan was away at the lake this weekend.  WE MISSED HIM!!!!  He had been asking to go, so Nanny and Papa asked if he could go with them.  He left Saturday morning and came home Sunday late afternoon.  Here are the pictures Jane sent me.  He loved feeding "Daisy", his duck.  The most excited thing, by far though, was the time he got to spend with his cousins.  He hasn't spent a lot of time with them lately, so he loved it.  He's luck to have cousins he calls friends.  We are still hearing stories!

Here's to another great week and some warmer weather!  Maybe even a park trip Friday.
It's supposed to get up to 60 degrees Friday before the temperature plummets again!!!
