Swimming and Dancing. Does it Get Much Better?

I have had the honor of working with professors at Mizzou on a special research project since last year. I have been learning about how students use and learn vocabulary. I have also been learning how to teach students how to learn about vocabulary. This is one of the coolest things that I have been involved in. I have learned so much and grown as an educator. On Wednesday, I spent the day working with the vocabulary group. So, Cohan got to spend the day with the Ramsey's. I was a little worried about him not seeing them for awhile, but he walked right in like he never missed a day! He loves them so much!!! They have a new pool in their back yard. He loved it.

Today, at the Columbia Public Library, "Mr. Stinky Feet" performed. He sings songs, dances and has the kids interact with the music. Cohan and I went, and met Jane, Beth, Avery and Macklin. It was a full house, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

Cohan was fascinated by the music.

Cohan loved the music. It was very interactive. Cohan was clapping, jumping, and dancing with the music. Here is a little sneak into some of his dancing moves...

After the concert, the kids played in the play area. Boys will be boys. Here they are in the only truck at the library.

Cohan playing in the play area at the library.

Avery taking in all the action. Too cute!!!

It's been another great week. Makes me sad to see the calendar getting so close to the beginning of school and meetings that this brings...
