A Little Extra Attention...

The last couple of days, it has hit me how much things around our house are going to change.  Our world revolves around Cohan.  We are about to add another baby into the mix.  This has made us give a little extra attention to Cohan.  Riggs is about to have a little change too.  She and Cohan are best buds.  They still will be, but adding one more baby, takes a little attention away from her too.
Today, Scott and Cohan cleaned out his pool.  Then Cohan enjoyed lots of time in the backyard hanging in his pool!
Then Riggs needed a little more love...
After an awesome dinner on the grill, a long walk and Popsicles outside, it was time to call it a night...
I know that things are going to change, but only for the better.  I think that Cohan is going to make an awesome big brother and can't wait to introduce him to his little sister tomorrow.

Morning in the Water

This morning, Cohan and I had a play date with Erin and Maddoch.  Maddoch and Cohan are 10 days apart.  They love playing with each other and it had been awhile.  Erin just had a little girl, Malley, so she and Ireland will be close in age and good buddies too!  It was so nice to sit back, visit and let them play!
We look forward to LOTS more of these times this summer!!!

Air Show

This morning, we took Cohan to the air show.  He was so excited about seeing all the airplanes.  The Hickey's joined us.  Ila and Wilson liked it too!  It was so hot, but I loved seeing Cohan get so excited!  He sat eating chips, drinking water and watching planes...
On the ride home, he kept saying, "That so cool Mommy!"

Lake Weekend

Cohan has been asking to go to the lake since we went last.  He LOVES to talk about boats and the lake.  We decided that we would make a quick trip just for him this weekend.  At first, I was worried about going away so close to my due date, but realized (with Scott driving super fast) we would be able to make it back pretty quick if something happened!
How we travel: Jack, Meagan, Cohan, Riggs and Harley.
As soon as we get to the lake house, it never fails, Cohan makes a beeline to the back deck to watch for boats.
"Look, Mom!"
He loves Aunt Meagan so much!
That smile is the whole reason we went...
My father-in-law always says that one big reason he bought this lake house was for the sunset view.  It is amazing.  Scott is not one to think to take pictures, however, with this sunset, he remembers.  Some of our best family pictures have been on the deck with the sunset.  I HATE maternity pictures, but I also want to remember this and show Ireland what Mommy looked like; so we did take a couple.

Saturday morning, Cohan woke up and wanted to see the boats.  Everyone else was sleeping and I didn't want to wake anyone, so I took coffee, a granola bar and my favorite little boy to the back deck.  He and I watched boats, talked and snuggled for about a half hour.  I loved every single moment of it.

After Cohan's nap, we went on a boat ride.  He was in hog heaven!

The weekend was relaxing and Cohan was in heaven with all the boats and the lake.  This was exactly the reason we went.
I told Scott tonight, I am having a hard time wrapping my head around having another child and not getting to focus completely on Cohan.  Scott told me that I was worried about bringing Cohan home too, and that turned out pretty perfectly.  He is right.  We have an amazing little family of three now, but we can't wait to have Ireland with us to make FOUR!!!

Slow Week

It has been a slow week.  Between swim lessons, finishing up the year in my classroom and playing outside, I got a few pictures...

Cohan playing hide and seek!

"Mommy, no more pictures!"
One night, after swim lessons, Scott had to go back to work.  Cohan and I had dinner together.  He had frozen pudding with his dinner and loved every moment of it.
Sometimes you have to live a little!
