Where Did June Go?

I sat yesterday asking myself, "Where in the world did June go?"  I started to clean the pictures off my phone and camera.  I can't even believe June is almost over!  As I started looking at pictures, I realized our little family has been very busy.
I told Scott that after Ireland was born, I wanted to make life for Cohan (and the rest of us) as normal as possible.  This meant getting out of the house and still doing normal things.  I think that I have done a pretty good job of that.  Cohan, Ireland and I do something outside of the house each day.  My friend, Abbey, told me, "You can do anything with the kids if you really want to."  I have remembered this at the grocery store, the library, the splash park and just while running every day errands.  So when I asked myself where the time went, I know we have been having lots of fun and enjoying our time with our newst additon!!
One day, we went with my sister-in-law, Beth, and her kids to the splash park.  Nanny came and the kids loved it!  Cohan LOVES hanging out with his cousins!

Lincoln and Ireland slept in the shade.

Another day, I had a meeting, so Cohan went to the Ramsey's house to play for the day.  These are the pictures that Alison texted me.  Do you think he had fun?!

We lunched with Papa H...
The heat has been awful here.  Daddy did a lot of relaxing with the kiddos...
Just random cute pictures of my little munchkin...

Another day, I took Cohan to his first movie.  Every day, at 10:00 a.m., they show a movie for $1.00.  I thought this might be worth it, and if he doesn't make it past the first 15 minutes, I only wasted $2.00.  He did awesome and loved watching Kung Fu Panda 2.  It was fun to have Maddoch and Avery there with us!
I forgot my camera, so this is the best I could get with my phone!
Then, for two weekends in a row, we headed to the lake.  Cohan LOVES being there, and so do we!  I took the kids a day early, and we spent some time with Nanny.  I loved the extra help and they loved the extra snuggles.
Feeding Ireland
Breakfast on the deck
This is what Ireland does... A LOT!
We thought it was colic, but now we thing it was her milk intake.
She is MUCH better now!

My view while the kids slept one day... THANKS JANE!!

One of the things that Cohan loves the most about the lake is boat rides.  He got to take a couple the last few weekends.  The second picture is how he ended the last boat ride we took.  He slept for about 30 minutes!
Ireland is so happy when she is outside.  She could be screaming her lungs off, and the second you take her outside, she is calm.  Let's just say she and Nanny spent lots of time outside...

This month we also celebrated Aunt Boo Boo's (Betsy's) birthday.  Uncle Matt tried to be dad of the year and hold Ireland and Sofia so everyone else could eat one night; way to go Matt!
One thing we love is play dates at our house.  Maddoch and Maley came to play one morning.  Maddoch and Cohan are 10 days apart and Maley and Ireland are one month apart.  It is so fun the watch them all interact.
So yes, June has flown by, but we have been very busy.  The kids and I are in Springfield right now introducing Ireland to our family here.  Lots of pictures to come!!

My Sweet Little Girl

Just had to share some pictures of my sweet little girl.  She is so darn cute.  She has colic, so it is tough to get pictures of her when she is not crying.  These are a few of my favorites from recently...

Momma Said There'd Be Days Like This...

Not every day is going to be perfect.  Yesterday was one of those "not so perfect days."  We aren't sure if Ireland has acid reflux or colic or what, but either way... it isn't fun.  There were a lot of tears yesterday.  I think the worse part is when you can tell your child is in pain and there is nothing you can do for her.
Not all days are going to be perfect...

Sibling love
On a side note: Cohan learned to put his own pants on last night!!!
Even though days might be tough sometimes, I have to remember that when Scott gets home, both kids get really excited to see Daddy!

Much Needed Weekend Away

This past weekend, we were ready to get out of the house and enjoy the weather.  This meant heading to the lake.  Cohan has been talking about going on boat rides since our last trip down, so he was more than ready!  Nanny was there already there and ready for her grand babies to arrive!
On Saturday morning, Scott, Cohan and Nanny went down to the dock.  Scott cleaned the boat and Riggs got some extra attention from Cohan and Nanny.  She loves jumping in after her ball!
It was a fussy morning for Ireland, so I stayed in the house with her.
It was a beautiful day and Cohan was ready to hit the pool.  Scott and Jane got in with him (since I can't yet after the C-Section).  Ireland and I watched in the shade! =)
One cool thing about heading to the lake that Cohan loves it playing with the new toys Nanny gets.  He liked his new Thomas the Train bubble blower!
He also loved his new "fishing set."
Bucko would not be impressed.  He still has some fishing skills to learn...

It was a nice weekend away.  I got to head to the Outlet Mall on my own, (got some new clothes that fit my "new body") went on boat rides, slept in (thanks Jane), ate good food and relaxed.
The kids and I are headed back down on Thursday!!
