I'm Two Months Old!

Ireland turned two months old on Sunday!  I can't even believe all the changes that have happened in two months.  She has a little personality.  She smiles, coos, laughs, sleeps and loves to watch her brother.  We went to the doctor today.  She has gone from (at her lowest) 6 lbs. 13 oz. to a huge 12 lbs 5 oz!!  She is growing quickly!

Here are here "stats" at 2 months:
Height: 23 1/2 in (90th percentile)
Weight: 12 lbs. 5 oz. (90th percentile)
Head Circumference:  40.4 cm (78th percentile)

Busy Weekend with Friends

This weekend was busy.  Our friends, Jeremy and Ashley, were in town from New Orleans.  I didn't get to go the wedding since I was pregnant, so it was so fun to catch up with them! Cohan LOVED playing with them and wouldn't leave Ashley alone.
Friday night, we headed to Kevin and Emily's house to get everyone together to see Jeremy and Ashley.  The kids never stopped playing.
My Happy Boy
These boys have been friends since grade school!
Saturday morning, we headed to a Car Wash to benefit Maddie Ramsey's softball team.  They are going to represent Missouri in the World Series of Softball!  Cohan loved "helping" wash the car and seeing the Ramsey Family.  After that, the four of us headed to a new place for lunch, then headed to a birthday party!
Hayden Clark turned three, so we were excited to celebrate with him!
That night we had friends over for pizza and had a very relaxing Sunday....
It was so nice to be home all weekend!

Thinking Ahead...

It's happening.  I am starting to think about going back to work.  I even went in to work last week for a few hours.  I can't believe that there are two more weeks left, then I head back to work...
With Cohan, I took 13 weeks of maternity leave, went back for two weeks, then had all summer off.  He was almost six months old when I went back to work.  Ireland will be about 10 weeks.  That freaks me out.
I will have to say though, there is one thing that makes going back to work easier.
The Ramsey Family.
It is such a relief leaving Cohan (and now Ireland) knowing that he is loved, cared for and having a great time.  He is part of their family.  Never once have I worried or questioned Alison.  Their entire family treats Cohan like one of their own.
Last week, we got together with the Quintero's and Ramsey's.  Betsy and Matt's daughter, Sofia, will be joining Cohan and Ireland at "Miss Allie's" house.  Ireland will get to spend all day with her BFF.

Anything she does...  Cohan HAS to try.
Even though I might not be ready to go back, Cohan has asked me each day if he and Ireland can go to Miss Allie's house to play all day yet.  I'd say he's ready!

Big Brother Tendencies

I would have to say that Cohan is one awesome big brother.  He can be doing anything around the house, but if he walks by Ireland, he stops and says something to her, gives her a kiss, covers her up, gives her a pacifier or tickles her toes.

If you know Cohan, you know that he never stops talking.  He is loud and has a big voice that can be heard from down the street.  However, when talking to Ireland, his voice and demeanor totally change.  He becomes a soft spoken little guy that talks in a baby voice to her.  It melts my heart.  You can tell he listens to things that we say to Ireland.

Here are a few of my favorite phrases we hear him saying to Ireland...
  • Hey sweetheart...
  • Hi Sugar Bugar...
  • Ireland do big talkin'
  • Give me big smiles
  • You need a paci?!
  • Let me burp you
  • You a little fussy?
  • Talk to me big girl
  • Hi little sister...
  • Don't be sad...
  • Hi Sugar baby...
  • Hey there...
  • Don't be mad...
Anything that we do with Ireland, he wants to help.  Here is Cohan and Daddy giving Ireland a bath...

"Bonkers" for Our Cousins

The heat has been awful here in Missouri.  On Monday, we met some friends and our cousins at Pirate's Cove, a children's water park here in town.  It was hot, but we were done swimming and picnicking by 12:30 and home for naps by 1:00.
Tuesday, Beth suggested going to Bonkers.  It is a local indoor playground for kids with slides, tunnels, arcade games and more.  It was a perfect cool activity for us!  Nanny was already here watching the kids while I worked out, so she was able to join us too.
Man, did they have a great time!

Thanks Beth, Mack, Avery, Lincoln and Nanny for a great time!

Nanny Love

Going to the lake for Cohan means lots of things.  It means that he gets to swim at the lake house pool, take boat rides, eat snacks he doesn't normally get, feed "his" duck Daisy and the fish off the dock and more.  But more than anything, it means he gets LOTS of play time with Nanny.  Scott's mom lives for this time with him as much as Cohan does.
Here are a few pictures of what they did last weekend....

Making Humming Bird food...
Playing trucks...
Sidewalk Art...
Deck time...

Thanks Nanny for always making our boy smile!
