Ireland's Week with Nanny

Mrs. Allie had back surgery Monday.  This meant that we needed to find an alternate place for Ireland for a week.  Nanny offered and made a plan each day.  She loved her one on one time.
We are so thankful for our Nanny!  They did Chuck E. Cheese, lunch for Avery's birthday, a pool day and then back to Chuck E. Cheese for Mack's birthday lunch!!  She is one lucky little girl.
And Friday night, Cohan and I went to his first t-ball practice of the season.
And with these hot temperatures, the pool was a MUST today!!

First Week Back...

Last Wednesday I started back to work and Cohan's school didn't start for a few days, so he LOVED his time with Nanny.  He chose to go to Chuck E. Cheese and have fun with his cousins at the pool.
We are so thankful to Nanny for watching him.
Ireland had a good time at Mrs. Allie's house too!
Ireland has also been requesting a braid like Elsa.  Scott calls it her rat tail.
It was also time for Cohan to get a back to school trim...  bye bye long hair.
Scott told me we could have donated it to Locks of Love.  :)
AFTER...
Saturday we also got to go to Avery's 5th Birthday Party.
It was Frozen themed and Cohan and Ireland had such a good time!
Scott and I had to leave the party early for a different party, but Uncle Pooh and Aunt Meagan spoiled the kids with Orange Leaf frozen yogurt!
Sunday was Cohan's last day before school started.  After naps, we took a spontaneous trip to Bonkers to let them play.
and then we might have had Orange Leaf again... maybe.  :)

Cohan is in Pre-K!!

One year.  That’s it.  One year and our baby boy will be in Kindergarten.  How did he get so big so fast?  It seems like yesterday that he had his first day of Preschool.

Monday, Cohan started his last year at Trinity Lutheran Preschool.  He is now in a Pre-K classroom.  We went to meet the teacher on Sunday.  He loves his classroom and his best buddy is in his room.  There are actually several kids Cohan knows and even some parents we know.

At first he was sad he wouldn't be with Mrs. Oliver again, but he quickly got over that.
His first week has been great.
I told Cohan I wanted to put a brick on his head to make him quit growing.  But really, I want to see all this little man is capable of.  We love you Cohan and can’t wait to see all you learn this year.  XXOO

Last two days of summer swimming

I can't even believe this is the last day of summer.  It came and went so quickly.  My kids have grown so much this summer in so many different ways.  My best memories are the ones of the two of them playing alone together, when they think no one can hear them.  Their innocent conversations, their make believe restaurants and all the babies they have "babysat" have filled my heart to the brim.
I love them more than anything in the world and have cherished this time.

I thought these last two days of summer were going to be rainy and chilly.  They have actually been the opposite.  We have spent the last two days at the pool swimming away summer.  BOTH Cohan and Ireland can now swim.  I am so proud of them both.
Here are pictures of both of them taking a short swim...
