Thanksgiving in Illinois

We headed home to Springfield Wednesday afternoon.  The kids were more than excited to be back so soon and to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Cohan even brought his costume from school to show everyone.  But, please, don't think Ireland forgot her Elsa dress.  :)  They love playing with the toys that my brother and sister and I used to play with.  Little People have come a long way!
Thanksgiving morning we woke up to about three inches of snow.
Scott and the kids shoveled the drive.  They were super helpful.  :)
We had an amazing Thanksgiving at my brother and sister-in-laws house.  They had quite the spread and lots of activities ready for our kids.  We loved having my mom, dad and step-mom all there to celebrate.  There was so much to be thankful for!!
Tyler decided to take a little nap after dinner.  He sure did get messed with...
Two new puppies!!!
After dinner, but before dessert, the girls decided to try and go shopping at a couple stores.
We may have just started a new tradition!!
Friday we headed to the Festival of Trees.  Cohan had been before and remembered the train.
They loved the train rides with GramMo and gingerbread cookies!
We also headed to a park that was lit with Christmas lights.  They looked on, in awe.
But, the best part was Santa at the end.
Thanks for all the laughs, love and reasons to be thankful.

Now, bring on Christmas!!!
