Cohan's Preschool Halloween

Cohan wanted to be a Mizzou Basketball Player for Halloween.  Therefore, Ireland had to be his cheerleader (and my step-mom had just gotten her a cheer-leading outfit... two birds, one stone).  I figure this might be my last year that I can coordinate their costumes without one throwing a fit.   So I went all out.  My mom found black candy bags that I had been searching for, I puff painted them, made a Mizzou sweat band he had to have (his words, not mine), Aunt Meagan found a jersey and.... Boom.  Cute costumes.

Sunday evening, we headed to Cohan's preschool for a "Trunk or Treating" Event.  One thing we love about his preschool is that we have lots of friends that have kids that go to the preschool too.  Cohan loves that he has lots of familiar faces there.  We love going to events because we get to hang with friends.  It was fun to see Cohan in his prime, around friends and adults from the school.

People from the church and school decorated their trunks, passed out candy and dressed up.  The best part that Cohan was most excited about?  Mizzou Women's Basketball Team was running the games.
He was so excited to meet them!
We have Halloween night and then another fun Halloween celebration with friends.
Cohan and Ireland have loved wearing their costumes!

Pumpkin Patch

We have gone to Peach Tree Farms Pumpkin Patch for the last two years.  This is our third year.  It started when Cohan didn't really understand but still loved it, then we went last year with friends and this year with Aunt Megan and Uncle Pooh.  Just how they wanted to spend their One Year Anniversary!

After a fun parade morning, we grabbed some lunch and headed out to the patch.  Ireland and Cohan loved it this year.  They were able to feed goats, pet puppies, roam around and Cohan's favorite, go for a tractor ride.  There is something about fall colors that makes me love pictures.

House Decks and Homecoming Parade

This weekend was one of those weekends that flew by.  We were busy, but it never felt overwhelming because it was all stuff we wanted to do and the kids had a blast!!  We did Homecoming House Decks, Homecoming Parade, Pumpkin Patch, Family Pictures and a Trick or Treating event at Cohan's preschool.

Let's start with House Decks and Homecoming Parade...

One of the things that I love about Columbia is that it's a college town.  To us, it used to mean lots of tailgating with friends, lots of fun games to go, to and travel to and more.  Now a days, it means there are fun college events to take the kids to and they are starting to get interested in it all.

Friday night we went to House Decks in Greek Town.  This was my first time.  It was cold and now I know what to expect.  Double stroller- not needed, cash - needed for snacks, spiked hot chocolate - a must.

Scott and I looked at the young college kids, then laughed at ourselves pushing the double stroller with two kids.  Wow.  Times have changed.  Another dad, doing the same thing as us, laughed as he passed us and said,  "At least our kids still think we're cool."  Amen brother.
Saturday morning we were up and at it again.  We headed to the Homecoming Parade with friends.  Cohan and Ila Rose loved giving high-fives to the people in the parade.  Ireland held out for smarties and suckers.  The kids danced to the music and had a great time.

Tough loss that night, but we had fun with the Homecoming Festivities.
