She Marches to the Beat of Her Own Drum

Lately, Ireland has been hilarious.  She has her own personality.  She doesn't give huge smiles for pictures and is pretty serious a lot of the time, but lately, it's a different story.  She is talking up a storm and has found her voice!  We caught her giving herself kisses the other day in the mirror.  Then she began dancing...
FYI-- videos won't play on cell phones (at least it won't on mine).
Much to my dismay and just like her brother, she has a HUGE opinion about what she wears.  I think it's pretty hilarious.  Not sure I am going to think that forever.  She wore this hat Aunt Meagan made for about two weeks straight.  I mean ALL THE TIME.  We had to peel it off of her for bath time, only for her to put it right back on with wet hair after.  Good thing it's adorable!
I've said it before, but she loves dress up too.  She puts her own outfits together and loves the jewelry too.  I don't know another human being that could pull off that get-up besides her.  =)
One of my sweet students even got her more dress up jewelry for Christmas this year!!
On a side note... let's just keep this for bribery in a few years.  Good thing they are so cute!!

Watson Christmas #1

We had our first of several family Christmas celebrations yesterday.  Uncle Pooh and Aunt Meagan will be in St. Louis for Christmas this year.  So, Sunday we got together and exchanged gifts with them and watched them open their presents.  Meagan has started crocheting.  She is quite the little crafter lately and really talented.  She made all the boys Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles hats.  She made the girls adorable hats and barrettes.  Ireland's has a shamrock on it.  She also made Beth, Jane and I ear warmers that I've wanted.  The kids LOVED the hats and so did I!!  Ireland loved the shirt and barrettes and Cohan loved Spiderman.  We will miss them Christmas day, but were excited to celebrate with them.  The kids all loved the extra time together too!  Watching them play is like free entertainment and hilarious.
On a side note, today was the first day of break.  Holy cow did we get lots done!  The kids and I hung out this morning, ate breakfast together, played and enjoyed being home with nothing to do.  Then, they headed with me to work out with my trainer.  After that it was lunch and naps.  I got the entire house cleaned, beds changed, all the laundry done and dinner cooked.  I LOVE this down time at home!!

Cohan's First Christmas Program

Cohan had his first Christmas Program at his preschool.  He has been practicing these songs since Thanksgiving.  We were so excited to come and watch.  My MeMo had a huge 90th birthday celebration, so my mom couldn't make it and my dad is retiring in less than 7 days, so he had to be at work, but Nanny and Papa H came with us to watch Cohan.  Even though we arrived 20 minutes before the program started, we had seats in the second to last row.  We have learned our lesson and will arrive earlier next year.  Cohan is in the top row, third from the left.  Ireland wanted to dress up for the day too!
These are some of my favorite pictures.  After they were done singing, his class and the other class walked off.  It was very calm and no one jumped any steps... except Cohan.  He then hung his head as the teacher reminded him to be safe.
He loves his teacher and so do we.  Mrs. Oliver.
Seriously, could he get any cuter??  He picked out his entire outfit himself.
My loves!!
It is a little blurry, but Cohan is in the top row, third from the right in this video.
After his Christmas program, Nanny and Papa H took Cohan and Ireland to Avery and Mack's class party.  They were very excited!!! Here are a couple pictures Beth sent me.
That night, Nanny and Papa kept Cohan and Ireland over night.  We had planned it for a few weeks.  We had a good friends Christmas party and then wanted to finish the kids' Christmas shopping in the morning.  It was an awesome break.  We had a great night and an awesome morning out with just the two of us.  We even ended the morning with lunch out at one of our favorite restaurants.  The kids had an awesome time too.  They made their annual Christmas cookies with Nanny and Papa H.
Thanks Nanny and Papa for a fun 24 hours with no kids!!
