Everything is More Fun with Family

Cohan and I decided to take a long weekend and head to Springfield. We had two family showers, so it worked out perfectly. We left on Thursday afternoon and came back Monday morning. Note to self, when driving alone with Cohan, leave in the morning. Thursday was NOT an enjoyable drive for Cohan or myself.

As soon as we arrived at my mom's house, MeMo, GramMo and Tayler were all ready to play with him! He was SO EXCITED to see them!

Tayler and Cohan actually played together. It was the cutest thing ever. They would chase each other and then giggle at one another. Cohan has never really played with another kid. He more so watches, or mimics. These two boys never stopped when they were together!!!

Tayler loved helping Cohan.

On Friday afternoon, we had an awesome time at lunch with Dad and Chris. Cohan loved seeing Grandpa and Grandma Chris.

When we got home from lunch, Dayton, my mom's neighbor's grandson was outside playing. Of course Cohan wanted join in! They really enjoyed blowing bubbles and helping each other.

Cohan was very snugly.

On Saturday morning, even though it was a little chilly, Cohan, Tayler and I we went swimming! Colleen called us and invited us to join her family. We joined her niece and nephews and sisters. Cohan loved getting snuggles from Auntie Col Col and playing with Harrison. Tayler loved being in the pool too! We can't wait until Colleen has her baby!!

After swimming and a long nap, we were off to my cousin, Mallory Davlin's wedding shower. The party was at our cousin, Tara's house. They have a trampoline in their backyard and it was a hit for Cohan and Tayler. Cohan thought it was awesome. He would run, jump and fall on purpose, all while laughing so hard. He also played soccer with Uncle Tyler. He loves trying to kick the ball, but Uncle Tyler was trying to teach him not to touch it!! =)

Sunday, we had a wonderful brunch baby shower for Jenna Davlin at MeMo's house. We can't wait meet their newest addition and find out the name and if she's having a boy or girl!!

On Sundays in Columbia, we always have a big family dinner with Scott's family. I was happy that Cohan and I got to be home in Springfield on a Sunday for a Davlin family dinner. Tyler cooked delicious steaks on the grill, while Sarah and I cooked inside. Mom and MeMo got to spend time with their "boys."

Tayler brought his tricycle over for Cohan to have. Tyler told me that Tayler even "shined" it up for Cohan. Even though Cohan's feet don't touch the pedals, that didn't stop him. He would go to the garage and pull it out. He wanted to ride it so bad! He even stole a few rides from Tayler. Thanks Tayler for sharing your bike with Cohan. He loves it!!

Cohan loved sitting with Uncle Tyler.
I was very impressed with Cohan's eating on the trip home. Anytime that Tayler was around, Cohan ate like a champ. He is always a great eater, but he was a rock star with Tayler sitting next to him. Cohan even ate corn on the cob. He loved it!!!

Everything seems a little more fun with family around!!
